A Kayla the Bibliophile Review of
When the Sun Goes Down
by
Erin Noelle

When Erin first told me about her idea for this book, I was completely intrigued. It was so much different than her series, and I was surprised that my good friend had such a dark and twisty side to her!  As I edited the book for her, if I got to a part that completely floored me, you bet your sweet ass I was on my phone in a heartbeat, asking her how she had come up with that part, or even if she had meant for some things to come off in a certain way.
What you may THINK is the big twist, really isn't. She starts dropping obvious hints pretty early on in the book. So the asshole reviewer that gave this AMAZING book 1 star saying they didn't enjoy the book because they figured out the "big twist" before the halfway mark and didn't finish...congrats numb-nuts, you were supposed to...duh! Don't quit your day job to become a PI.
The ACTUAL big twist doesn't happen until the last few pages, and even it isn't supposed to be a shocking twist; it gives you more of a sense of peace, which sent me into all-over body chills.
Also completely different than her first series, the story of Trina, Lucca, Leo, and Kat isn't full of young-people angst. It gives you all the back-story of why the characters are the way they are, helpfully reminds you throughout so you'll understand why they are thinking something or reacting in a certain way, but when the love connection is finally made, they don't break up and question their relationship a million times...making you want to throw your reading device...no, they are aware what they have is meant to be.
This is NOT a cliffhanger. A cliffhanger means the main story you are reading is not completed in the end, forcing you to buy the next book if you want to see what happens. WTSGD is not a cliffhanger. There is, however, a lead-in to the next book in the series, which  is a completely different couple, in a completely different setting. They just happen to know the first book's characters ;-)
So keep these things in mind when you pick up this fantastic read! I think I'm just as excited for your to give it a try as Erin is! It was THAT good!
